Advent is the first season of the church year comprising the four weeks before Christmas. During Advent the church waits expectantly and hopefully for the coming of the world's Redeemer. He comes as a baby born at Bethlehem; he comes to us now through Word and Sacrament; and we expect him to come at history's end and conclusion as the world's ultimate Judge and Savior.

Christmas celebrates the Nativity of Our Lord, when "the Word became flesh and lived among us" (John 1:14). As we get closer to Christmas we begin to celebrate the season a little early, toward the end of the Advent season. At Christmas we are always happy to see many visitors and extended family of our members. We hope you will be among them!
