Our Congregation Council has proposed an initial budget for the church’s worship, ministries and initiatives for 2019. All members are asked to pledge their financial support to have a more accurate indication of whether we will be able to meet our goals. Please log in to view the Pledge Sunday letter and the proposed 2019 budget in the Stewardship section.
Thanksgiving Day Dinner at RELC
November 22nd, 2018
RELC is once again hosting its annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner! Anyone and everyone are welcome, and we guarantee a feast!
The church will provide the turkey, stuffing, and beverages, and everyone else is asked to please bring your favorite traditional Thanksgiving side dishes or desserts.
In addition, we have put together a team for the 13th Annual Thanksgiving Day Trot for Hunger. This is a 5K run/walk held in Arlington, hosted by Christ Presbyterian Church. It's a great way to start your day, it gives you a fantastic excuse for that second piece of pumpkin pie, and it benefits AFAC, A-SPAN, Arlington Thrive, and others.
For more information, please go to the official Arlington (VA) Turkey Trot website. When you sign up, you can choose to join Team Resurrection Lutheran Runners. Just type in the name when it asks on the registration form.
Please let us know if you signed up, and get a pair of Resurrection Runners running gloves!!
Music at Resurrection is an annual series of music programs that are presented either in concert or in the context of special worship services (e.g., All Saints Sunday, a setting of the Passion of St. John for Good Friday). The series has featured appearances by the chamber group Ibis, the 18th St. Singers, the U.S. Army Chorus, piano and violin soloists, and hymn festivals led by Donald Busarow and Peter Lea-Cox. The series, now in its 11th year, is supported by The Music Fund and by freewill offerings.
